
The Dubai Economic Agenda 'D33' sets ambitious goals including raising the total value of foreign trade in goods and services from AED14.2 trillion in the past 10 years to AED 25.6 trillion in the next decade. The emirate also stood first regionally and fourth globally in the cultural interaction parameter, improving from its fifth rank overall on the parameter in last year’s. The agenda will invest in enhancing the advantages gained from Dubai's strategic location and its advanced infrastructure to raise the city's status as a preferred destination for major international companies and investments. Dubai retained its top position in the Middle East and North Africa region and climbed up three spots globally to 11th overall on the Global Power City Index 2022. The Dubai Economic Agenda 'D33' aims to accelerate growth by investing in human development, skillsets, and advanced technology and consolidating Dubai's global competitiveness, innovation, and knowledge-based economy. The agenda will drive sustainable economic growth through innovative approaches.

The value of the total targets set by the Dubai Economic Agenda 'D33' is AED32 trillion by 2033. Of the 50 cities included in the analysis, some of the least desirable relocation spots include Johannesburg, South Africa Frankfurt, Germany and Paris, France thanks to demanding work cultures and high costs of living.The 'D33' Agenda includes the launch of innovative projects that will help achieve Sheikh Mohammed's vision to make Dubai the world's best city to live and work in. The survey, conducted in February 2022 and released this week, asked expats to rate their satisfaction across five main categories, including quality of life (like a healthy environment and robust public transit), ease of settling in (such friendliness of local residents), personal finance (such as access to affordable health care), working abroad (such as job security and a stable local economy), and "expat essentials," which covers digital life, housing options, language barriers, and dealing with local government and administrative tasks.
